BAATPE has hosted 4th working meeting of the participants of “Design4Children”project.

The 6 – 7 March 2012 in Sofia, Bulgaria, BAATPE has hosted the 4th working meeting of the participants of “Design4Children”project. The meeting was hold in the premises of the Association, bases in WTC Interpred on the famous “Fashion floor” of the building.

The project “Design4Children” aimed at developing new innovative software and virtual platforms for 3D design and manufacturing of children clothing and products for children. The participants are branch organizations, research centers, experts and companies from the T&C industry in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Israel, England and Bulgaria.

At the meeting in Sofia were examined stages of the study summarized the requirements of various countries on children’s clothing and priorities and requirements of parents in the selection of children’s products. They were discussed the ideas and criteria for the development of online platforms, according to the specific requirements for the quality, comfort and safety of the children products.

BAATPE is representing officially the Bulgarian companies from T&C industry and is responsible for the dissemination of the novelties and the distribution of the finished products.

In September 2012, they will be discussed the first developed software prototype and the virtual platforms. The project participants will be able to give their assessments, recommendations and ideas before finalizing the last version of it.

On March 7, the project participants visited the manufacture facilities of “Kolev & Kolev”, specialized in production of children shoes.

Some of the participants were for the first time in Bulgaria and at the end of the working meeting, they expressed their positive impression of BAATPE and Bulgarian companies as well as increased interest in future cooperation.
