Business
Bulgaria has opened a new sewing factory that will work for Gianfranco Ferre, Cerruti, Calvin Klein and other fashion giants.
Five million euros were invested into the Dimitrov Factory, rising in northern Pleven.
Another 150 000 were allotted from the municipal budget to improve infrastructure in the plant's area.
Dimitrov Factory will be the first in Bulgaria to introduce the "sartoriale" standard, meaning the highest quality all-handmade garments.
Initially 1 200 will work at the plant, but it will open another 200 jobs by the end of the year, the BTA state news agency said Monday.
