UK: Hugo Boss renews sailor sponsorship deal

 Boss has renewed its deal with world record-holding UK sailing skipper Alex Thomson .     

The new four-year contract, worth GBP4m (US$7.48), follows an initial partnership which brought in an estimated 20-fold return on investment for Hugo Boss.

The deal includes multi-region hospitality tours in addition to three major round-the-world races.

Head of sports sponsorship Till Pohlmann said: "Alex is a rarity in the sporting world: a world record holder and a charismatic competitor with bags of instinctive raw talent. He is the perfect ambassador for Hugo Boss and we are proud to be here today supporting him."

Thomson added: "Hugo Boss has been fantastically supportive since they began sponsoring me and to show this level of long-term commitment speaks volumes about them and about our relationship."
